The Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2025-26 has been launched to empower meritorious female students from low-income families across India.
This initiative, a corporate social responsibility programme of the Kotak Mahindra Group and Kotak Education Foundation, aims to ease the financial burden for girls pursuing professional undergraduate degrees by providing substantial financial support throughout their course.
Under this scholarship, selected students will receive Rs 1.5 lakh per year until they complete their professional graduation course. The award must be used to cover academic and related expenses, including tuition fees, hostel fees, internet, transportation, laptops, books and stationery.
WHO CAN APPLY
The scholarship is open to meritorious girl students from across India who meet the following criteria:
- Must have scored 75 per cent or more marks or an equivalent CGPA in Class 12 board examinations.
- The applicant’s annual family income must be less than Rs 6,00,000.
- Students must have secured admission in the first year of a professional degree programme for the academic year 2025-26 at a reputed institute, such as those accredited by NIRF or NAAC.
- Professional courses include Engineering, MBBS, Integrated LLB (5 years), Integrated BS-MS/BS-Research, Design, Architecture, and similar fields.
- Applicants cannot be children of employees of the Kotak Mahindra Group, Kotak Education Foundation or Buddy4Study.
This scholarship is aimed particularly at students pursuing professional and technical degrees and encourages more girls to continue higher education in competitive disciplines.
SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS AND DETAILS
Kotak Kanya scholarship selected scholars will receive Rs 1.5 lakh per year for the duration of their professional graduation degree.
This support continues until the student completes the course. The funds are intended to ease financial pressures on students and are directed towards educational costs such as fees, study materials, living expenses, and related academic needs.
The Kotak Kanya scholarship is merit-cum-means based, with academic achievement and financial background important in determining eligibility.
The Kotak Education Foundation retains discretion over selection and the award process, subject to fulfilment of eligibility conditions.

- Complete the form by entering accurate personal, academic and contact details.
- Upload required documents such as Class 12 marksheet, income proof and admission evidence.
- Accept the terms and conditions, preview your details, and submit the application.
Documents required include the Class 12 marksheet, income proof of parents/guardians, ITR of parents (if available), college admission proof, bonafide certificate, seat allocation document, Aadhaar card, bank passbook, passport-size photograph, and other supporting papers such as disability or parent’s death certificate, where applicable.
