In an official ceremony, the 4th edition of the NIRF India Ranking is revealed on, April 8, 2019 by President Ram Nath Kovind.
NIRF rankings are based on parameters – Teaching, Learning & Resources (TLR), Research and Professional Practice (RPC), Graduation Outcomes (GO), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI), and Perception.
Distributed in various categories, Indian Institute of Madras topped the list in the overall category. While IISc topped in University category, Miranda House topped the college category.
Coming to the Law category, National Law School of India University, Bangalore topped in this year. AIIMS, Delhi ranked first in Medical category. IIT Madras and IIT Delhi have been placed as top Indian Engineering institutes. IIT, Kharagpur in Architecture category topped the list.
