Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union has alleged that the administration has dramatically slashed the library budget, which makes research very difficult.
Reportedly, earlier the budget was Rs 8 crore, which has now been reduced to Rs 1.7 crore.
Speaking about the development, the students’ union body said, “In an extraordinary and surprising move JNU administration through Rector and Librarian have provided a detailed chart for privatization of Dr B.R. Ambedkar Library through massive fund cuts i.e. Rs. 8 crore to Rs. 1.7 crore.”
