Rajasthan Technical University will work in association with IBM towards enabling holistic growth of the students of affiliated colleges through skill development, curriculum design, and teachers’ training.
RTU will create innovative opportunities in technology: Vice Chancellor, Prof. S.K.Singh
KOTA, 15 April 2023, Moving towards holistic development of engineering students, Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the renowned multinational information technology company IBM under the guidance of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. S.K.Singh. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed and exchanged in the presence of Registrar Virendra Kumar Verma, Dean Prof. Rajeev Gupta, and Dean Prof. AK Diwedi and Gagan Agarwal, Kamal Bhati representatives of IBM. An understanding was arrived at to work together under a comprehensive action plan for the students’ of technical education.
On the occasion, Vikram Rathore, Assistant Public Relations Officer, informed that an understanding has been arrived at with IBM to design and develop the courses and curriculum related to various areas. These include online courses, the announcement of the launch of IBM MOOC, major and minor courses, project-based learning, new opportunities for skill development, organizing IT and teacher’s training, and various topics associated with their successful implementation in the engineering colleges affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University. The MOU will benefit the students of RT University, the affiliated colleges, various faculty members, teachers, and the stakeholders of technical education. Also, this MOU would provide the students with an opportunity to demonstrate their educational advancement and talent in the field of technical education. Under this MOU, both parties will work jointly to enhance the higher education of the students, with an aim to develop a conducive learning environment for the students of Rajasthan Technical University. Under the academic exchange, RTU and IBM will also provide mutual support for promoting skill development training, career building, internship in industries, and faculty development.
Prof. S.K. Singh, Vice Chancellor, RTU said, “We will work with IBM towards developing a curriculum and designing programs that are contemporary and relevant in the present and future environment. IBM will provide the students with opportunities for skill development and also provide guidance to the talented students after identifying their excellence. With this MOU, the IT skills of the affiliated engineering college and students will get impetus, the students will turn towards innovative technology, and their employability will grow. The student community will benefit in enhancing their skill and knowledge with this MOU.” “IBM will train RTU students on emerging technologies for holistic skill development. With the signing of the MOU, the students and the University will have information about the latest innovations and research with academic excellence getting a boost as well. Today, to meet the increasing industrial demand for IT professionals, this MOU will work towards making our students more confident and capable.”
