Mumbai University is scheduled to conduct the final year exams from October 1, 2020, in the online mode. The exams will be conducted as Multiple Choice examinations. The university recently released a circular clarifying the queries raised by the affiliated colleges with regard to the exam pattern and the mode of examination. The university in its circular has also informed the role of the cluster or lead college and mock tests demanded by the colleges.
Examination Questions
According to the notification released on the official website of the university the concept of a lead or cluster colleges is to bring a group of affiliated colleges in a given area offering similar programmes and also facilitate the synchronization and coordination with respect to the execution of the academic and exam work.
The university has also clarified that only the syllabus covered until March 13, 2020, will be used as the exam syllabus for the final year students. Those appearing for the backlog exams however will have questions based on the entire syllabus.
Examination Pattern
According to the circular released by the university, the MCQs will consist of 25 to 40 questions which will be chosen as per the requirement of the subjects. The exams will be conducted for one hour carrying 50 marks. The sample MCQs will also be prepared and provided to develop the understanding of the exams for the students and the mock tests will also be conducted for practice.
The teachers have also been asked to put together a question bank of 250 questions for every subject which will be used for the exams.
