In a significant step towards advancing educational innovation, the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-Madras) in New Delhi. The collaboration aims to strengthen educational research, development, training, and technology integration across the academic ecosystem.
According to the Ministry of Education, the agreement aligns with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and marks an important move towards promoting technology-enabled learning. It seeks to leverage emerging technologies such as Information Technology (IT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML) to create dynamic and adaptive learning environments.
The partnership will also focus on developing data-driven insights, multilingual platforms, and innovative digital content to enhance both student learning and teacher training. Additionally, it aims to build robust digital infrastructure to support equitable access to quality education nationwide.
This collaboration between NCERT and IIT-Madras is expected to set a new benchmark in integrating advanced technologies into India’s education system, fostering an inclusive, research-oriented, and future-ready academic environment.
