The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started the registration process for NEET UG 2026 today, February 8, 2026. Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate medical courses can apply through the official website neet.nta.nic.in.
As per the notification released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the NEET UG 2026 examination will be held on May 3, 2026, in a single shift from 2 pm to 5 pm. The exam duration will be three hours (180 minutes). Candidates are advised to reach their examination centres well before reporting time to complete pre-exam formalities.
How to Apply for NEET UG 2026
Visit the official website: neet.nta.nic.in
Click on “New Registration” under the Candidate Activity section
Read the instructions and proceed
Register to generate an application number and password
Log in and fill in personal, academic, and exam city preference details Upload required documents:
Photograph (10–200 KB)
Signature (4–30 KB)
Pay the application fee and submit the form
Download and keep a copy of the confirmation page for future reference

The NTA has clarified that applications will be accepted only through online mode. Forms submitted through any other method will not be considered.
Candidates must ensure that the email address and mobile number provided in the application belong to them or their parents/guardians, as all official communication will be sent only to the registered contact details.
Applicants are also required to upload a recent passport-size photograph, scanned signature, and valid address proof. Failure to follow the instructions mentioned in the official information bulletin may lead to disqualification.
Earlier, on January 8, the NTA released the updated syllabus for NEET UG 2026 to help candidates plan their preparation accordingly.
