How does the academic achievement at SP Jain Global through the program you chose influence you to construct your career?
The EMBA program armed me with the understanding of senior/top management issues whether finance, HR, or operations related. Using Applied Business Research (ABR), I was able to identify PAW and provide detailed research to my organization concerning QFD/House of Quality for commercial operations. Application-based learning is indeed the best way for working executives, which ensures direct comparison with the industry practice and easy correlation with students’ workplace practices to ensure 100% understanding and later, the same can be applied in actual work, thereby completing the loop of learning. I transited from Manager to Senior Manager while doing the EMBA course from SP Jain Global and thereafter joined a Maritime tech start-up as Head of Operations (HOO) and Solution Delivery (COO) and relocated from India to Singapore.
Further, after getting the Dean List Award and Global Citizenship Award by the Institute, I was armed to lead the way with much more confidence and increased networking opportunities in the last few years. During my EMBA journey, especially the GIP visit to Singapore, I was able to interact with alumni of SP Jain and thereby was connected to an even bigger network.
Today, I stand as a proud ambassador for SP Jain Global and Vice President of the Singapore Alumni Chapter who believes in growing the entire alumni ecosystem by fostering increased relationship building and helping others achieve their goals and ambitions.
Networking is one of the most critical aspects for any EMBA student and with the help of this platform, students can connect with others from different industries to build up huge contacts and important learning resources which can be leveraged personally or professionally and utilized in various aspects of the business.
EMBA program of SP Jain Global has given me a platform to learn from my peers from different industries and understand the dynamics in other sectors such as banking, real estate, retail, hospitality, etc.
After completion of this program, I could easily connect with other industries and could understand the challenges, and the good and bad practices followed elsewhere. I could also link to my own industry in case required.
Few of the courses in the program like Strategic Innovation, Negotiation and Conflict Management, Corporate valuation, Operations research, Business strategy and sustainability, Global Immersion Project, Applied Business research and state of art simulations, etc., give great insight to the candidate and that too from highly qualified and abled faculty members, which arms candidates like me to connect to the global businesses.
