A new Bachelor of Science (BS) course has been commenced in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur from this year onwards. The current five-year integrated MSc programme at the institute will be streamlined into a four-year bachelors programme in science.
As per the institutes official records, students who want to earn MS degree would be facilitated to do so at the third-year end of the four-year BS course. Moreover, the institute would structure the 7th and 8th semesters accordingly, so that students can get their MS degree at the end of the programme.
The institute’s official website will soon be updated with the all the information, regarding the detailed syllabus for the courses. The institute will offer BS programme in chemistry, economics, maths, computing, applied geology, and physics from this year.
Nonetheless, the institute’s entrepreneurship cell recently propelled Local Startups’ Meet (LSM) 2021 for new entrepreneurs and alpha and beta startups to collaborate with Industry related experts and firms, new investors, and popular entrepreneurs of the country. The event will begin from October 16 till November second week and would continue for a month.
