From the upcoming academic session 2020-2021, AICTE will offer and approve only new specialized institution, which will contain such rising subjects in industry including computerized reasoning (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, apply autonomy, quantum registering, information sciences, cybersecurity, 3D printing and plan, AR/VR or Data Sciences.
Such steps will help to control the institutions offering old subjects and branches, which has no use in the current market.
AICTE will begin accepting the applications from new universities for presenting the courses in developing advancements from November 2019. In any case, if the currently specialized foundations need to update their curriculum structure, they can present the query to AICTE before the initiation of the new session in July 2019.
According to the AICTE’s new policy, institution is likewise encouraged to present multi-disciplinary engineering courses, particularly in mechatronics, computational science, biomedical, aviation, biotechnology, space, horticulture, and natural building, by decreasing the seats in traditional disciplines.
