The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) on February 15 announced admission to the BA, LLB (Hons), LLB (Hons), LLM, MPP and PhD programmes for international students for the academic year 2024-25. Interested candidates can apply at the official NLSIU website, nls.ac.in.
The application forms would be released on February 20 on the NLSIU admissions portal, where candidates can apply till March 18. The final admissions list would be published in the first week of May 2024 and the academic year would begin on July 1, 2024.
As per the official announcement, the university would admit upto 15 candidates for the BA, LLB (Hons) programme, six candidates for the LLB (Hons), six candidates for the LLM, six candidates for the MPP programme and three candidates for the PhD programme. All candidates seeking admission to these programmes shall appear for the National Law School Admissions Test (NLSAT-International) for the programme that they are seeking admission to.
Each of the admissions tests shall consist of a single question paper comprising two parts – Parts A and B. All candidates are required to attempt both parts of the question paper. The examination shall be conducted online on April 18 and 19, 2024, for duration of 120 minutes. A fresh rank list would be prepared based on the cumulative performance in Parts A and B. Based on this rank list, candidates shall be invited for the interview in a ratio of 1: 3, meaning three candidates per seat available would qualify for evaluation of Part B of the examination. The interview would be for a maximum of 25 marks.
The final rank list shall be prepared by consolidating the marks scored in Part A, Part B and the interview. To be offered admission, candidates must secure a cumulative score (sum of Parts A, Part B and the interview) of 70 percent or more.
