The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has joined hands with Axis My India, a consumer intelligence firm, to map skill demand and supply across India. The collaboration aims to identify skill gaps, measure the effectiveness of training programmes, and enhance participation, especially in underserved regions.
This partnership will leverage Axis My India’s expertise in data analytics and grassroots research to support NSDC’s mission of aligning training initiatives with industry requirements. It will also help evaluate the socio-economic impact of these programmes on beneficiaries, including employability and income growth.
NSDC CEO Ved Mani Tiwari highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating, “This collaboration marks a crucial step towards bridging skill gaps in various sectors. By utilising advanced analytics, we can optimise our skilling initiatives, ensuring inclusivity and transparency while positioning India as a global skilling hub.”
Axis My India will conduct baseline surveys to assess current skill development trends, design frameworks to measure outcomes, and advocate for greater awareness of skilling opportunities.
Pradeep Gupta, CMD of Axis My India, remarked, “We are thrilled to partner with NSDC to empower individuals with industry-relevant skills. This effort will unlock the potential of young India, driving economic growth and reducing unemployment.”
This initiative aims to create an inclusive ecosystem fostering sustainable development.
