The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), operating under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), has entered into a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, and Acciojob. This agreement aims to introduce a unique microcredit program focusing on cybersecurity and data analytics.
The program’s objective is to cultivate highly skilled professionals in India. This initiative enables young individuals from various regions of the country to conveniently access high-quality education from a renowned institution like IIT Guwahati. Such accessibility is poised to significantly enhance the societal impact at both local and broader levels. The MoUs were exchanged between Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO and MD of NSDC International, and Yashwardhan Burad, CEO of Acciojob.
This partnership between private and public organizations sets a distinctive precedent. It offers students hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies, equipping them for the evolving landscape of work. Simultaneously, it enhances capabilities in identifying, preventing, and addressing cyber threats, meeting the rising demand for skilled professionals across various sectors. Moreover, it enables students to seamlessly transfer credits to degree programs aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, empowering them to pursue successful careers in the industry.
During the event, Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC and MD of NSDC International said that NSDC has launched various initiatives to promote the advantages of certification programs in emerging technologies, aiming to enhance youth employable and ready for the future. Partnering with Acciojob marks a pivotal move in this direction.
This groundbreaking initiative will be instrumental in harnessing youth skills to safeguard digital assets, protect sensitive information, and establish the foundation for a secure and robust digital future for everyone.
Through this partnership, students will have the opportunity to access a cutting-edge curriculum designed specifically to align with the demands of today’s job market. All courses will be delivered via online training sessions facilitated by distinguished faculty members from IIT Guwahati. This initiative will be crucial in enhancing their learning journey, fostering networking prospects, and expanding valuable employment avenues.
