The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit cards for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024), which is scheduled to take place on May 5, 2024. In 2024, over 24 lakh students have registered for the exam, an increase of about 4 lakh from 2023. R
As the largest medical entrance test, NEET UG will be conducted in 13 languages using the traditional pen and paper method. The exam will be held across 557 cities in India and 14 international locations, starting at 2 pm and ending at 5:20 pm. Candidates have received their NEET UG exam city intimation slips, where the locations of their exam centers are mentioned. It is crucial to understand that these slips are different from the admit card. The NEET UG admit card can be downloaded from the official websites, either exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/ or neet.ntaonline.in. The National Testing Agency (NTA) emphasizes the importance of carefully reviewing the exam day instructions provided with the admit card and strictly following them during the examination.
To download NEET UG 2024 admit card, follow these steps:
- Go to the official NEET website at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.
- On the homepage, find the notification titled “NEET Admit Card 2024” and click on it.
- This link will direct towards login page.
- Enter application number, date of birth (DOB), and the security pin (as provided during registration).
- Click “Submit” after entering the required details.
- The admit card will be displayed on the screen.
- Download the admit card, which will come in PDF format.
- Its suggested to get a print out of the admit card for the exam day and future reference.
More than 23 lakh candidates have registered for NEET UG 2024, with a total of 23,81,833 students. This includes over 10 lakh male and more than 13 lakh female students. Additionally, 24 students have registered as ‘third gender’.
Of these registered candidates, over 10 lakh are from the OBC NCL category. There are also 6 lakh students from the general category, 3.5 lakh from the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, 1.8 lakh from the Gen-EWS category, and 1.5 lakh from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
