NxtWave, in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), has launched SkillUp India 4.0, an initiative aimed at upskilling over 3 million students across India in advanced technologies. This new program seeks to connect these students with valuable career opportunities, marking a significant step in India’s tech upskilling landscape.
As part of the SkillUp India 4.0 initiative, NxtWave will offer a free software job employability test to over 500,000 students to evaluate their skills and connect them with suitable job opportunities. Additionally, meritorious students from 500 NIRF-ranked colleges will gain free access to NxtWave’s 2-year Full Stack + AI/ML program, further enhancing their career prospects.
According to Rahul Attuluri, Co-Founder and CEO of NxtWave, the collaboration with NSDC and the Ministry of Skill Development is a significant achievement in equipping students with crucial skills for their future. SkillUp India 4.0 is designed to align with their mutual goal of creating a highly skilled and future-ready workforce, addressing the needs of emerging technologies.
According to Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC, the SkillUp India 4.0 initiative is well-aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. The program supports the Skill India Mission and enhances India’s status as a global hub for skills and innovation. With a significant share of global capacity centres located in India, initiatives like SkillUp India 4.0 are pivotal for advancing the country’s technological capabilities.
