The online application process has begun by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) for admission to BS and BS-MS dual degree programmes. The exams like KVPY, JEE Advanced exam, and IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) are the three channels for admission to IISER conducted for State and Central board exam toppers.
The eligibility to apply is the candidates who have passed class 12 (2018 or 2019) and even placed in the top 20 percentile in class 12 board in science streams. They can apply through one of the following channels:
- The students who have a valid KVPY fellowship for the 2019 academic session are eligible for admission.
- The students who secured rank up to 10,000 in JEE Advanced exam 2019 are also eligible.
- For the State and Central Boards, IISER has given a cut off marks for class 12 and students having marks equal to or above the cut off can apply.
IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) which is an online test will be conducted in June.
Around seven IISERs are there across India at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupati.
