Padma Awards are one of the highest civilian honours of India announced annually on the eve of Republic Day. Padma awardees 2019 names were announced on the eve of the 70th Republic Day. The Awards are given in three categories: Padma Vibhushan (for exceptional and distinguished service), Padma Bhushan (distinguished service of higher order) and Padma Shri (distinguished service).
These years 112 recipients are honoured with this prestigious title including 4 Padma Vibhushan, 14 Padma Bhushan and 94 Padma Shri awards. This year nomination number has reached the sky with 50,000 nominations in various fields as compared to 1,313 nominations in 2010.

He was born in 1931 in Bhalwal did his matriculation in 1945 and joined the J&K Police in 1953. He used to write in Urdu but later switched over to Dogri. And till now he has written 48 books. - Shri Kailash Madbaiya – Literature & Education – Madhya Pradesh
