The government has introduced the RuPay card package in collaboration with the UAE, and soon UPI will be launched in the UAE. This will facilitate seamless payments between accounts in the UAE and India.
Moreover, Prime Minister Modi interacted with the first group of students from the IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi Campus, expressing admiration for the project’s role in fostering collaboration between the youth of India and the UAE. The idea of establishing an Indian Institute of Technology Delhi campus in the UAE was conceived by the leadership of India and the UAE in February 2022.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the project is a joint effort between the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-D) and the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) with the aim of offering quality higher education opportunities to students on a global scale. Furthermore, it would encourage cooperation between the two countries in the fields of cutting-edge technology, research, and innovation. The first academic program, a Masters in Energy Transition and Sustainability, began in January, as highlighted in the statement.
