PM Modi announced of establishing CBSE campus in UAE -

Highlighting the commitment to delivering high-quality education in the UAE, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the upcoming establishment of a new Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) office in Dubai during his address at the ‘Ahlan Modi’ diaspora event in Abu Dhabi. He emphasized significant advancements in the education sector while declaring that over 150,000 Indian students are enrolled in UAE schools. According to the Prime Minister last month, a master’s course was initiated at the IIT Delhi campus here, and a new CBSE office is set to open in Dubai soon. These institutions will play a crucial role in providing top-notch education to the Indian community in the region. Emphasizing the cultural ties between India and the UAE, Prime Minister Modi commended the common linguistic links and applauded the accomplishments of both countries as noteworthy on the global platform.

In the realms of community and culture, the accomplishments of India and the UAE stand as an exemplary model for the world to follow. PM Modi also notes the close linguistic affinity between India and the UAE. In addition to educational initiatives, PM Modi highlighted India’s global recognition for its extensive infrastructure projects, vibrant tourism industry, and excellence in sports. He said that India is gaining recognition as an exciting tourist hotspot and a significant sports powerhouse. It’s a source of pride for all. The digital revolution in India, known as Digital India, is garnering global appreciation. To extend its benefits to the people in the UAE, they are putting in all possible efforts. The government has introduced the RuPay card package in collaboration with the UAE, and soon UPI will be launched in the UAE. This will facilitate seamless payments between accounts in the UAE and India.

Moreover, Prime Minister Modi interacted with the first group of students from the IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi Campus, expressing admiration for the project’s role in fostering collaboration between the youth of India and the UAE. He noted that this initiative not only marks the beginning of a new chapter in the bilateral cooperation between the two nations but also brings together the youth from both countries.

The idea of establishing an Indian Institute of Technology Delhi campus in the UAE was conceived by the leadership of India and the UAE in February 2022.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the project is a joint effort between the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-D) and the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) with the aim of offering quality higher education opportunities to students on a global scale. Furthermore, it would encourage cooperation between the two countries in the fields of cutting-edge technology, research, and innovation. The first academic program, a Masters in Energy Transition and Sustainability, began in January, as highlighted in the statement. Prime Minister Modi is set to inaugurate the BAPS Mandir, the inaugural Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi, tomorrow.
