Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be inaugurating the permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya on February 20, 2024, with Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary accompanying him for the event. Established under the Ministry of Education in 2015 with 30 students in its inaugural batch, IIM Bodh Gaya has an enrolment of over 1,110 students from 293 cities and 26 States.
Apart from smart classrooms, the campus features a library named ‘Pragyata’ which includes Open Source Software for managing resources and a Sports complex with modern gym facilities and provisions for badminton, basketball, football and cricket. The permanent campus has been also equipped with a medical centre and four towers for faculty and staff residences. The institute undertakes several social impact activities like Management Development Programs (MDP) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, having trained over 3,000 micro-entrepreneurs while supporting ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister would be also inaugurating IIM Jammu and IIM Visakhapatnam, 20 new buildings for Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVs) and 13 new Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVs) buildings across the country.
