The Students from the University of Sheffield created a revolutionary telescope that is set to capture new images of the sun.
The product has been designed by science and engineering students at the University.
Images captured by the instrument, could be used to help improve forecasting of solar activity.
All the activities that can be of significant risks to human health, power grids and space assets can be predicted ahead.
The telescope has been a result of advanced manufacturing techniques such as 3D printing.
It is to be noted that the current earth-based solar telescopes are expensive as such the new invention marks a significant improvement.
The NASA will accompany the telescope in the launch in the later months of this year.
The space giant NASA has selected only this one instrument from outside of the USA.
The economical solar observation system developed by the Sheffield students can operate completely autonomously.
