Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister today said that the ministry has made an “effective plan” to enhance education system in the state Jammu and Kashmir.
At the closing ceremony of the J&K student exchange programme, ‘Maitreyi Yatra’- Javadekar said that his ministry was monitoring progress in education sector in the state every month.
He confirmed that for a review will be visiting J&K soon.
Under ‘Maitrayi Yatra’ almost 500 students from 9-12 standards from J&K came to Delhi on 18th January for 10days exchance programme.
Union Minister said, “I have observed that in the state, there is dedication towards education particularly for girls’ education… Many Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas were opened in the state.”
According to him, a good education system can change the country and the objective of ‘Maitrayi Yatra’ was to integrate the youth of J&K to the rest of the country and to promote brotherhood.
J&K Education Minister Mohammad Altaf Bukhari conveyed his gratitude in conducting the ‘Maitreyi Yatra’, stating that it will strengthen the social fabric of the country.
