Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) India University Rankings 2019 declared that IIT B is the best Indian institute for higher education. This is the first country specific QS rankings for India. It stated the top 75 institutes in India for higher studies where the first position went to IIT-Bombay and the 2nd to IISc Bengaluru. Top universities that dominated the first 10 positions include IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IISc Bengaluru, Hyderabad Central University and the University of Delhi.
IIT B also holds the 162nd position in the QS’ global rankings. Jawaharlal Nehru University was left out as it focuses on research studies. Birla Institute of Science and Technology is the only private instution that made it to the top 20s.
The British organization has brought out country-specific rankings beginning with China, India, South Korea, Japan and Mexico. This will help cater the increasing demand of information from within the nation. Today India is the 3rd largest higher-education hub standing at 24th place in QS Higher Education System Strength Rankings 2016.
