The Rajasthan Cabinet has approved the Rajasthan Coaching Centres (Control and Regulation) Bill-2025, aiming to regulate coaching institutes and provide a secure learning environment for students. The Bill, formulated in accordance with central guidelines and state-specific needs, was finalised after consultations with various stakeholders.
Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa announced that all coaching institutes would be required to register under the new law. Coaching centres with 50 or more students will be subjected to legal scrutiny to ensure compliance with regulations. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel stated that a state-level portal and a 24×7 helpline for student counselling would be established, along with the Rajasthan Coaching Institutes (Control and Regulation) Authority to oversee operations and ensure transparency.
Additionally, the Cabinet has approved the Skill Development Policy, designed to equip the youth with industry-relevant skills. The policy aims to modernise Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), introducing new courses aligned with emerging industry trends such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, smart manufacturing, automation, and cybersecurity. To support career development, model career centres will be set up in divisional headquarters, providing guidance on internships and employment opportunities.
Furthermore, the state has introduced an Equal Opportunity Policy for Persons with Disabilities to ensure inclusivity in government offices and institutions. The policy, compliant with the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, will facilitate barrier-free access and provide necessary accommodations for differently-abled employees.
These initiatives reflect the Rajasthan government’s commitment to fostering a transparent, inclusive, and skill-oriented education system while ensuring student safety and industry-aligned workforce development.
