Jain University organized its HR Conclave in Bengaluru, India. The main aim was to identify the role of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence in HR. The conclave was attended by 160 HR professionals, including 20 senior HR leaders from industry and academia.
With technology advancement, the role of HR in organizations is continuously evolving. However, automation in HR would pose a threat.
The advances in technology have created new challenges and advantages for the HR professional, who has to handle a hybrid workforce. But the role of the HR professional becomes crucial, as automation in the world of HR itself becomes a concern. This calls for the HR professional to understand the need for technology.
Dinesh Nilkant, Dean – CMS Business School, said that AI and robotics have good future prospects. Pramod Sadarjoshi, senior director of the Asia Pacific HCM Strategy & Transformation, Oracle, shared glimpses of AI in HR and the path ahead with the recruitment process and talent management.
The conclave also spoke about the need for data, automation and AI to hire the best talent with best resources. The use of analytics would directly associate with the impact and cost of attrition. It would also reduce the stress to analyse employee data.
