The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released its official notification for Group D recruitment, offering 32,438 vacancies across multiple departments. Eligible candidates can apply online via the official RRB website, with the application window closing on 22 February 2025.
This recruitment drive aims to fill Level 1 positions such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant roles in Electrical, Mechanical, and Signal & Telecommunication departments, Assistant Pointsman, and other Level-1 posts.
The selection process includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification (DV), Medical Examination (ME), and final empanelment. A modification window for application corrections will be available from 25 February to 6 March 2025, with an associated modification fee.
Candidates must create an online account to apply. Those who previously created an account for any 2024 RRB recruitment can use the same credentials. The notification emphasises the importance of filling account details accurately, as changes cannot be made after creation.
The 90-minute CBT comprises 100 questions across four sections: General Science (25), Mathematics (25), General Intelligence and Reasoning (30), and General Awareness & Current Affairs (20). This test assesses candidates’ knowledge, reasoning skills, and awareness of current events.
