The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has also issued the syllabus and pattern for the Computer Based Tests (CBT) for recruitment of Level 1 post. The exam is schedule to be conducted on September 17, 2018. The time and venue of the CBT exam will be mentioned on the e-call letter, which can be downloaded by the candidates from the websites of RRBs 10 prior to the exam.
Duration of the CBT will be 90 minutes while eligible PWD candidates accompanied with scribe will be allowed 120 minutes.
In level or Group D exam there will be 100 questions in four categories including Mathematics (25), General Intelligence, and Reasoning (30), General Science (25), and General Awareness on Current Affairs (20).
Question Type and Syllabus
The questions will be of objective type with multiple choices.
Mathematics: Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work; Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square root, Age Calculations, Calendar and Clock, Pipes and Cistern, etc.
General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision Making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical Reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions, etc.
General Science: Under this category questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Life Sciences of 10 standard level will be covered.
General Awareness on Current Affairs: In this category questions on Science and Technology, Sports, Culture, personalities, Economics, Politics, and any other subject of importance will be covered.
