The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced a major recruitment drive with 2,570 vacancies for Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) posts. According to the official notice published in the Employment News, the online application process will open on 31 October 2025 and remain active until 30 November 2025. Eligible candidates will be able to apply through the RRB’s dedicated portal at rrbapply.gov.in .
The recruitment is set to provide lucrative career opportunities in the Indian Railways. The age limit for applicants has been set between 18 and 33 years as on 1 January 2026, with applicable relaxations for candidates from reserved categories. Selected candidates will be offered a starting salary of ₹35,400 per month along with allowances as per government norms.
The selection process will comprise four stages: Computer-Based Test (CBT-I and CBT-II), Document Verification, and Medical Examination. Only candidates clearing the first CBT will progress to the next stage.
In terms of educational requirements, aspirants for JE and related positions must hold a diploma or degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a relevant field.
