The State Bank of India has opened registrations for the 13th batch of its SBI Youth For India (YFI) flagship programme. SBI invites young and dynamic individuals who support rural development to apply for the programme. This 13-month fellowship offers graduates and young professionals, aged 21 to 32, a chance to collaborate with rural communities and 13 partner NGOs.
Interested candidates can apply at the official SBI Youth For India (YFI) fellowship link here. The fellowship welcomes Indian citizens, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and citizens of Bhutan or Nepal who are passionate about sustainable rural development.
The SBI YFI Fellowship focuses on 12 key areas. These include essential sectors like health, education, water, and environmental protection, ensuring better living conditions in rural communities. It also promotes economic growth through rural livelihood, food security, social entrepreneurship, and traditional crafts. Additionally, the fellowship emphasises technology, women’s empowerment, self-governance, and alternate energy to create long-term, impactful change.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in grassroots development while building leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Over the past 12 years, 640 Fellows have contributed significantly to rural communities. Their efforts have positively impacted over 1,50,000 lives through various grassroots initiatives across 20 states, according to the press release.
