The Staff Selection Commission (SSC), in collaboration with Delhi Police, has opened applications for the recruitment of Head Constable (Ministerial) for 2025. The competitive examination aims to fill 509 vacancies, with opportunities for both men and women. Eligible candidates may apply online through the official SSC website (ssc.gov.in) or the mySSC mobile application.
Application Process
The online registration began on 29 September 2025 and will close on 20 October 2025. The deadline for online fee payment is 21 October 2025 at 11:00 PM. Applicants will also be able to make corrections to their forms between 27 and 29 October 2025.
Selection Procedure
The recruitment process involves multiple stages. The Computer-Based Examination (CBE) will consist of 100 objective questions to be completed within 90 minutes. It will include sections on General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence, English Language, and Computer Fundamentals. Negative marking of 0.25 marks will apply for each incorrect answer.
Candidates who qualify in the CBE will undergo the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT), followed by a Typing Test on Computer worth 25 marks, and finally a qualifying Computer Formatting Test.
Vacancies and Eligibility
Of the total 509 posts, 341 are reserved for male candidates and 168 for female candidates. Reservations are in place for Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and other categories under government norms.
Applicants must be Indian citizens aged between 18 and 25 years as of 1 July 2025, with relaxations for reserved categories. A 10+2 qualification or its equivalent is required, along with typing skills of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi.
Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates will be appointed at Level-4 of the pay matrix, with salaries ranging from ₹25,500 to ₹81,100. Additional incentives are available for NCC certificate holders and Rashtriya Raksha University graduates.
