The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2025. Candidates must complete the online fee payment by 11 PM on 19 July. The Tier-I examination, conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT), is scheduled between 8 and 18 September.
Vacancies and Positions Available
For the 2025 cycle, SSC has announced 3,131 vacancies, marking a decline from last year’s 3,712. Recruitment will be carried out for various Group C posts including:
* Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
* Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA)
* Postal Assistant (PA)
* Sorting Assistant (SA)
* Data Entry Operator (DEO)
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent qualification from a recognised board. For Data Entry Operator (DEO)/Grade ‘A’ roles in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Culture, and SSC itself, candidates must have studied Science with Mathematics in Class 12. The age requirement is 18 to 27 years as of 1 August 2025. Relaxations apply for candidates from reserved categories as per government norms.

Applications can only be submitted online. The fee for general category candidates is ₹100. However, candidates from SC, ST, PwD, women, and Ex-Servicemen categories are exempted.

Selection and Exam Structure

* Tier III: Skill/Typing test based on the post applied
