In Greater Noida, many class 10 and 12 students had to write their board exams in almost dark conditions due to non-availability of high power bulbs on a cloudy day in examination centres in Kasna and Sakipur.
The problem was worsened for those who were writing their exams in the early morning that began at 7:30 am on Tuesday.
Noting the lack of visibility during an inspection of at least three centres- Shri Amichand Inter College, Kasna and Nehru Smarak Inter College in Sakipur the district magistrate BN Singh and the SSP Love Kumar directed the centre superintendents to install high power bulbs at the centres before the next exam so that the students do not have to face this situation again.
Students could be seen writing exams in poor visibility in the 16 functional rooms at the Nehru Smarak Inter College, Sakipur and 14 functional rooms of the Shri Amichand Inter College, Kasna. Poor electricity connection created this problem in another centre.
