The Supreme Court of India has announced recruitment for 241 Junior Court Assistant (JCA) positions, inviting eligible candidates to apply online through its official website, sci.gov.in. The application process commenced on 5 February 2025 and will remain open until 8 March 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university and demonstrate a minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute in English on a computer. Basic computer proficiency is also a mandatory requirement.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years old as of 8 March 2025.
Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of multiple stages:
– Written Examination – Includes Objective and Descriptive papers (both lasting two hours) and a 10-minute typing test.
– Typing Speed Test – Only candidates who qualify in the objective test will proceed to this stage.
– Descriptive Test – Conducted for those who clear the typing test.
– Interview – Final shortlisted candidates must appear before an Interview Board, where obtaining the minimum qualifying marks is essential for selection.
Application Fee
– General/OBC candidates: ₹1,000
– SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Differently Abled/Freedom Fighters: ₹250
The fee is non-refundable and must be paid online via the UCO Bank payment gateway. No alternative payment methods will be accepted.
