Legal Developments and Protests
Earlier, candidates protested against a Government Order (GO) seeking rescheduling of the exams due to concerns over reservation provisions for Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Backward Classes (BCs). Senior advocate Kapil Sibal had argued before the Supreme Court that many aspirants might miss the opportunity to appear for the exam, which was being conducted for the first time in the state.
