The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has extended the registration deadline for LAWCET counselling to August 24, 2024. This extension provides a crucial opportunity for candidates who have successfully cleared the entrance exam but have not yet completed their registration.
Previously scheduled to end on August 20, the new deadline allows prospective law students additional time to complete the registration process on the official LAWCET website, lawcet.tsche.ac.in.
Candidates must pay a non-refundable processing fee to register and verify their documents. The fee is set at Rs 800, with a reduced fee of Rs 500 applicable for SC/ST candidates. It is important to note that the TSCHE will communicate web counselling details online, and no individual call letters will be issued.
The LAWCET counselling is an important step for students seeking admission into various law programs. Eligible candidates for the three-year LLB course must hold a graduate degree (10+2+3 pattern) from a recognized university. For the five-year LLB course, applicants must have completed the two-year intermediate examination (10+2) or its equivalent. Those interested in the two-year LLM course need to possess an LLB or BL degree, either of the three-year or five-year variety.
Candidates who did not meet the required percentage in their undergraduate degree but achieved the necessary marks in a postgraduate degree or BEd are still eligible for admission.
After the counselling process concludes, students will be required to report to their allocated colleges for induction and commence their classes as per the schedule set by their respective institutions.
For further details and updates, candidates are advised to regularly check the official LAWCET website and adhere to the extended deadline for a smooth counselling experience.
