However, he spoke on the state’s inability, up to now, to achieve world-class research standards and stressed the significance of internal excellence. He urged for serious deliberation and suggestions to tackle this issue.
Emphasizing the government’s efforts in higher education, the Chief Minister mentioned the essential need for thorough reforms to accommodate changing circumstances. He spotlighted the upcoming introduction of a four-year degree program aimed at improving the effectiveness and student-centered approach in arts and science colleges.
According to Vijayan, there is a global shift towards a multidisciplinary approach in higher education. He mentioned that his government is proactively equipping the youth for future challenges and envisions Kerala as a distinguished center of higher education both nationally and globally.
