UGC NET Exam Dates 2024 Announced: Key Details for Candidates
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the schedule for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2024 session. Initially, the exams were scheduled from January 1 to January 19, 2025. However, the updated timeline now confirms that the exams will be conducted between January 3, 2025, and January 16, 2025.
This nationwide eligibility test is crucial for candidates aiming for:
1. The Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) award and appointment as Assistant Professors.
2. Appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D. programs.
3. Admission to Ph.D. programs only.
The UGC NET December 2024 session will cover 85 subjects and will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The exams will follow a two-shift schedule, with the first shift running from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Candidates are advised to keep a close eye on updates from the NTA.
