What strategies lead to the success behind Brandwitty?
I started this business on some basic principles for Brandwitty:
1.To be honest with our clients
2.Provide better services
3.Never over charge your clients
I believe these principles really worked well for us and got us through all the hurdles.
Today we are a well-established company with the strength of more than 20 people in just five years without any external funding.
What are the upcoming trends in the digital marketing industry?
There are eight upcoming trends in digital marketing industry:
1) Artificial Intelligence –
As Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made its strong entry in various industries, it cannot be hidden that the marketing world will miss taking its full advantage this year. The AI will help the segment to perform customer retargeting, segmentation, tracking clicks, pushing notifications, and much more with numerous permutations and combinations. Nevertheless, AI is now capable enough to create content too.
From the introduction of AI, it can easily be understood that the AI can be implemented as per the required channels and your goals to fulfil your Digital Marketing Portfolio.
2) Chatbots –
The existence of chatbot is not new, the merging of chatbots with the artificial intelligence has taken it to the next level. It is now being capable enough to communicate with visitors as a customer support executive. The most or frequently asked questions can now be presented to visitors in a much more effective way after the implementation of AI.
Further analysing, introducing chatbot will be an affordable option considering the parameters like quick reply, appropriate reply, and much more.
3) Omnichannel Marketing
The idea of omnichannel marketing evolved to increase customers satisfaction and provide the best experience by constantly and seamlessly communicating with all the channels.
Individuals nowadays have been more mature and search for their requirements on various platforms and channels. Multichannel marketing came into existence to interconnect various channels to communicate for various businesses.
The companies on an average are able to retain 89% customers with the help of their strategies being focussed on omnichannel marketing. And the companies without such strategies only retain 33% as per research done by Invesp.
4) Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) –
Google is a trusted huge traffic provider compared to any other search engines. Out of the total of Google’s traffic, 60% are mobile users. So, the increase in loading time of a website is directly proportional to the bounce rate and will result in negative ranking by Google.
To overcome this issue and negative ranking, Google has introduced the AMP project. The loading time of AMP pages is not more than half a second which will automatically reduce the bouncing rate.
As implementing AMP will not increase Google ranking of a web page, but reducing the loading time of a page will definitely be positive for users and Google ranking. Till date, the web has more than 4 billion AMP pages.
5) Marketing and Email Automation –
Since 15 years, email has lots of makeovers and being a popular tool for communication.
The major difference is that you can personalize your marketing and email to encourage your customers to spend more.
By 2021, 82% of traffic over the internet will be through video as shared by Cisco. But we recommend to not wait so long for traffic and take maximum advantage of this option.
7) Voice Search –
The advantages of using voice commands are as follows –
- a) Voice search is more easy and safe for the individuals who like to talk with the phone instead of typing. This can be performed while performing any kind of activity.
- b) Talking speed of the individuals is faster than typing. Thus, the operations and searches will be quicker comparatively.
8) Augmented Reality or Virtual Reality –
The implementation of augmented or virtual reality before launching your product(s) can assure that there will be no doubt or risk on the forecast part and showcase yourself a way ahead player.
A setting of real life objects are inserted in Augmented reality. This enable individuals to place items as per their environment and need and check how does it look and feel.
How difficult was it to get the initial funding for Brandwitty?
We, that is Brandwitty, are a bootstrapped company started in 2014 and I started this business without the help of any venture capital firms or even significant angel investment. We started with some personal savings and somehow managed to move up the ladder with enough resources to get the business off the ground.
We are totally a customer funded company. The customer funding is pumped back into the business and that keeps the business running and, eventually, funds growth.
What hurdles came your way when you had started Brandwitty?
It’s not at all a surprise that financial fears stop many entrepreneurs from launching their endeavours. The fear of failure, draining your savings, worries about funding are widespread.
The biggest hurdle that I believe new business owners face is the time that it takes to get the business up and running and then earning profits. When I first got into business, as a solo entrepreneur, some said it would take a year, some said it would take two years, and some even told me that it would take almost 3-5 years of hard work to begin to feel confident. But one has to believe that with hardwork and dedication the business is not only going to be profitable but sustainable.
