The UGC and AICTE are going to organize a Pan India crossword contest for students of higher education that is going to be held between March and August in the ongoing year. The National Inter College Crossword Contest 2022 (NICE-22) is going to be conducted in a hybrid manner. The event intends to enhance the skills of students in a ‘fun and interesting way’. It aims to stimulate problem solving attitudes, instill quick decision making and improve logical reasoning in students. It intends to enrich students holistically.

Once the registration is done, the NICE 22 username and password will appear on the screen after the successful completion of the registration process, and will be sent on your email ID.
The contest will have the following rounds: an institutional/student round in the online mode, five zonal rounds in the offline mode, East, West, North, South and North East respectively and a final national round in New Delhi. The first round will have students from institutes play individually and will have students solve crossword clues for four successive Sundays commencing from April 3. After the final Sunday on April 24th, the institutes top 2 students will be selected who will move onto the final offline round. A practice round has been scheduled on 2nd April 2022 to familiarize students to the contest round. The crossword clues will be posted on their website or the NICE App 2022, which the participants will have to follow. The participants will have to submit their answers by 5 P.M each day. The student with the fastest response and all answers correct will be awarded 10,000 points.
