The University of Sheffield, UK, has launched 75 International Postgraduate Taught Merit Scholarships for the academic year 2025. Each scholarship offers £10,000 towards tuition fees for eligible students enrolling in a postgraduate taught programme starting in September 2025.
Eligibility and Application Process
The scholarships are open to new international students who hold an offer to study at the University of Sheffield. Applications must be submitted by 12 May 2025. Successful applicants will be required to confirm their acceptance within a specified timeframe.

To qualify, applicants must:
– Be self-funded and required to pay the overseas tuition fee.
– Hold an offer for a full-time course at the University of Sheffield.
– Not be sponsored students.
– Be enrolling in an eligible postgraduate taught programme.
Distance learning courses and programmes with higher clinical fees, such as DClinDent and MClinDent in Orthodontics, Endodontics, and Paediatric Dentistry, are excluded. Master’s programmes integrated with a PhD are only eligible for the master’s component.
Selection Process
A panel of senior university members will assess applications based on:

– A strong connection between the applicant’s achievements, their chosen course, and future ambitions.
Students pursuing split-degree programmes with partner institutions, including Erasmus Mundus courses, are ineligible.
