The University of Sheffield’s Faculty of Engineering is offering scholarships to international students enrolling in undergraduate programs starting in September 2025. These scholarships, ranging from £1,000 to £3,000, aim to reward academic excellence and provide financial support to high-achieving students.
Eligible candidates must meet specific academic requirements set by the University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). Those who surpass the UCAS entry requirements, including achieving A-level grades of A*AA or equivalent qualifications from their home country, will be considered for the Excellence Scholarship.
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
– Choose the University of Sheffield as their firm choice in the UCAS application for 2025.
– Be classified as overseas students for tuition fee purposes.
– Be enrolled in an undergraduate program that meets the prerequisites for their chosen degree.
The scholarship will be awarded as a cash bursary at the beginning of the course, with amounts varying depending on academic performance:
– £1,000
– £2,000
– £3,000
Students maintaining a 70% average in subsequent years will receive an additional £1,000 per year to further support their studies.
No separate application is necessary, as eligible students will automatically be considered for the scholarship once they begin their studies in the Faculty of Engineering.
