The Uttar Pradesh Board (UP Board) has released the date sheet for class 10 and class 12 board exams for the academic session 2018-19 on the official website, upmsp.edu.in. As per the date sheet, the board is all set to conduct the High School examinations from the month of February as the exams would begin on February 7 and would conclude on February 28 while the intermediate examinations would conclude on March 2, 2019.
This year, the board will conduct its shortest ever exams as class 10 board exams will end in 14 working days while class 12 board exams will conclude in 16 working days.
Changes by the Board
- This year, Intermediate examinations would have 269 question papers against 308 in the last year.
- The answer copies would be barcoded.
- The exam centres would have CCTV cameras and voice recorders.

“All the district inspector of schools have informed that CCTV and voice recorders have been installed in examination halls and about 1,314 centres have been identified as sensitive and another 448 labelled highly sensitive,” said Dinesh Sharma.
“In 2016-17 when the aadhaar details were not uploaded then the total number of students registering themselves for the examinations was 67.18 lakh. This figure was reduced to 53.84 lakh when the detail was first uploaded in 2017-18 and in 2018-19, aadhaar detail being uploaded along with other effective anti-copying measures being initiated saw a further dip in the number of examinees to 52.65 lakh candidates,” Sharma added.
