The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the schedule for the Personality Tests (Interviews) for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024. As per the notification released on Friday, the interviews will begin on January 7, 2025, and conclude on January 17, 2025.
A total of 2,845 candidates who qualified in the Mains examination are set to participate in the interviews. The detailed schedule, including roll numbers, dates, and interview sessions, has been made available on the official UPSC website. Candidates are required to report at 9:00 AM for the forenoon session and at 1:00 PM for the afternoon session.
E-summon letters for the shortlisted candidates will be issued soon and can be accessed on the Commission’s website. However, UPSC has clarified that requests for changes in the date or time of the interviews will not be entertained, except in rare circumstances.
Candidates are also reminded to submit the Detailed Application Form (DAF-II) within the specified timeframe. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their candidature, and no e-summon letter will be issued, as per the instructions outlined in the Commission’s notice dated December 9, 2024.
For those attending the interviews, the Commission will reimburse travel expenses equivalent to Second/Sleeper class train fare (Mail Express). Candidates opting for other modes of travel will be reimbursed according to the rules specified under S.R.-132. To claim reimbursement, candidates must submit printed tickets for both onward and return journeys, along with a completed travel allowance form, available for download on the official UPSC website.
The Personality Test is the final stage of the Civil Services Examination and plays a crucial role in determining the selection of candidates for prestigious positions in the Indian Administrative Services, Police Services, and other allied services.
