Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, a lawsuit has been filed against Chinese authorities. Freedom Watch, a Washington-based advocacy group, and Buzz Photos, a Texas company that specialises in high school sports photography, have filed a class action lawsuit against the China.
The case filed against the Chinese government, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the Chinese army, Major General Chen Wei of the Chinese army and Shi Zhengli, the Director of Wuhan Institute of virology. The lawsuit demand $20 trillion in compensation for the damages caused by the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, pandemic, reports IANS.
The claim have accused China of conspiracy to cause injury and death, aiding and abetting death, negligence, assault, battery and wrongful death.
