Vyomini Social Enterprise has launched its flagship skill development initiative, ‘Swabhimaan,’ designed to empower service providers and create employment opportunities for individuals from underprivileged backgrounds. Supported by the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), the program aims to uplift migrant workers, women, and youth in the Delhi NCR region.
The ‘Swabhimaan’ program offers 75 hours of comprehensive training in high-demand service sectors such as domestic help, patient care, child and elderly care, home care, and security guard services. The curriculum is designed to equip participants with practical, job-ready skills to meet the growing demand for professional service providers. Over 100 participants have already enrolled, and the program is set to expand in the coming months.
Upon completion, Vyomini will assist in securing placement and employment for participants, bridging the gap between the demand for skilled labor and the supply of trained professionals. Partnerships with notable healthcare organizations like Anand Maya Hospital, Holy Angel Hospital, and Sagar Nursing Home offer promising employment opportunities.
Prachi Kaushik, Founder and Director of Vyomini, emphasized the program’s broader impact, stating, “Swabhimaan is not just a training program; it’s a movement to restore dignity and self-reliance.”
The program’s success is further supported by SIDBI and local NGOs, ensuring effective execution and reaching marginalized communities. Over the next six months, ‘Swabhimaan’ aims to train 1,000 candidates, creating a sustainable pipeline of skilled professionals while promoting socio-economic independence.
