Whistling Woods International (WWI), has always been at the forefront to bridge the need for job-ready professionals within the Media & Entertainment landscape. With the launch of its latest venture – School of Sports & Esports Management, the institute has further expanded its mission to enable aspirants to transition into the booming industry of sports and esports seamlessly.
Announcing the launch, Subhash Ghai, Founder & Chairman, WWI said: “As an institute, we have always strived to stay with the trends of the dynamic Media & Entertainment industry and this vision has led us to introduce the School of Sports & Esports Management. These industries are on a huge growth path and a lot of career opportunities are opening in these domains. There is, therefore, a tremendous need for trained and well-informed specialists with comprehensive knowledge in these sectors and the WWI School for Sports & Esports Management aims to fulfill this requirement.”
The School of Sports & Esports Management will offer two-year MBA and three-year BBA programmes. These first-of-its-kind programmes are offered under an agreement with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), an Institute of National Importance, which operates as a think-tank for various youth-related activities.
The students enrolling for these programmes will engage in a detailed study with absolute emphasis on the sports and esports industries. The MBA in Sports & Esports Management programme comprises of imperative business management courses along with integrated knowledge and information about esports, sports, online gaming businesses, and management of multiple companies in such industries. The aim of the MBA programme is to create future leaders with an emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship.
The BBA Sports & Esports Management programme will focus on developing various skills required by students aiming to work in professional roles in the industry. In sports, esports and online gaming, they will be given an overview of every aspect connected to these industries so that they are knowledgeable about the running of various businesses in these industries. On successful completion of this programme, the students will be job-ready and well-equipped to embark on a professional career in the large number of entities engaged in these businesses.
