A woman, the mother of a 19-yr-old-boy who went to Nellore for taking coaching for MBBS entrance exam, decided to take the tough route to bring back his son.
Razia Begum (48) rode nearly 1400 kms on a scooty over three days to reach Nellore where her son was stuck.
She exhibited endurance level at par with seasoned rallyists. The woman is a Govt School headmistress from Bodhan town in Nizamabad district.
Razia had lost her husband 15 years ago and has been living with her two sons.
The boy had left for Nellore District on March 12th to drop his friend and stayed back there. Later, after the lockdown was imposed, he expressed his wish to join back the family. The women decided by herself fetch him back and could not send her elder son as she thought police might mistake him for a joy rider.
“I was determined to bring back my son. I packed rotis for the way and kept taking a few stops at fuel stations to quench the thirst. It was little fearsome in the nights with no traffic movement and people on roads,” quoted Razia.
