Aspiring management students aiming for XAT 2026 can mark their calendars: the official mock test will be available from October 29, 2025, 12 pm to November 1, 2025, 12 pm. This initiative allows candidates to familiarise themselves with the exam format, practice extensively, and boost their readiness for the actual test.
To access the mock test, candidates must complete their XAT 2026 application by October 26, 2025. Once registered, they can log in to their dashboards on the official website, www.xatonline.in navigate to the “Mock Test” section, and begin practising.
Dr. Rahul Shukla, Convenor for XAT and Admissions at XLRI Jamshedpur, said, “The mock test gives aspirants a chance to assess their preparation, improve time management, and build confidence before the actual exam.”
WHAT THE XAT 2026 MOCK TEST INCLUDES
The mock test mirrors the real XAT exam in structure and duration, covering four core sections:
- Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning (VALR)
- Decision-Making (DM)
- Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation (QA & DI)
- General Knowledge (GK)
The total test duration is three hours, featuring approximately 95 questions, with each correct answer carrying one mark. Wrong answers in most sections incur a 0.25 mark deduction, while the General Knowledge section has no negative marking. Additionally, negative marks are applied for more than eight unattempted questions at 0.10 marks each.

ELIGIBILITY AND APPLICATION DETAILS
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree of at least three years in any discipline. Final-year students are also eligible if they complete their graduation by June 12, 2026. There is no minimum percentage requirement to apply.

- Register as a new user with your name, email, and mobile number.
- Receive a User ID and password via email and SMS.
- Log in to fill in academic details, work experience, preferred test cities, and upload photograph, signature, and ID proof.
- Pay the application fee online and save the confirmation for reference.
