The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur successfully concluded the five-day cultural exchange programme under Yuva Sangam Phase V, a collaborative effort with the Ministry of Education as part of the Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat initiative. The event fostered meaningful connections between Assam and Chhattisgarh, promoting cultural diversity and learning.
The valedictory session, held at the Madai Auditorium, featured Shri Abhishek Singh, former Lok Sabha MP, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he encouraged delegates to embrace transformative experiences, stating, “Opportunities beyond your comfort zone build confidence and reveal invaluable self-insights.”
Highlights included a vibrant cultural performance by Assam’s delegates, showcasing their traditions and heritage. Participants shared their reflections, with one remarking how the programme bridged theory with real-world applications, while another praised visits to Sirpur’s archaeological sites and Bhilai Steel Plant.
Over five days, delegates explored Chhattisgarh’s archaeological treasures, wildlife sanctuaries, industrial landmarks, and local culture, including folk music and cuisine. Interactive sessions with IIM Raipur students and local communities enriched their understanding of the state’s heritage and modernity.
The initiative, involving 45 students and five coordinators from Assam, exemplified India’s unity in diversity and left participants with lifelong memories of cultural exchange and growth.
