The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially begun the recruitment process for 6,589 Junior Associate (Customer Support and Sales) positions, commonly known as the SBI Clerk. Interested and eligible candidates can apply on the official SBI website until August 26, 2025. The vacancies include both regular and backlog positions.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 20 and 28 years old as of April 1, 2025. Those born between April 2, 1997, and April 1, 2005, (inclusive) are eligible. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for candidates from reserved categories as per government rules.
Educational Qualification: Applicants must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification. Candidates with integrated dual degrees must ensure they graduate before December 31, 2025. Final-year students can apply provisionally but must provide proof of passing by December 31, 2025, if selected.
Selection Process
The recruitment process will consist of three stages:
Preliminary Examination: An objective-type test with 100 marks, lasting 1 hour.
Main Examination: A 200-mark objective-type test with 190 questions, lasting 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT): Candidates who have not studied the specified local language in Class 10 or 12 will have to appear for this test, which carries 20 marks, after qualifying the Mains exam.
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs 750 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, while SC, ST, PwBD, XS, and DXS candidates are exempt from the fee.
