IIT Bombay and BITS Pilani aim to collaborate for skill development. A memorandum of understanding was signed to collaborate on research, innovation and skill development by The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay on September 27.
Joint research to be conducted under the partnership of IIT Bombay and Bits Pilani at the facilities as well as through third-party collaborations under the partnership.
The collaboration aims to target some key objectives such as: knowledge management, upskilling development of technology, and upgrading human resources by aiding continuous education and more.
By the signing of MoU, this cooperation will help to facilitate positive scholarly and industrial interaction as well as the transfer of knowledge and help to develop technology.
The MoU leads to multiple doors to open such as research collaborations, internships to students, consultancy in industry-focused areas and collective applications for funding of research. The partnership will focus on the development of ecosystem which will closely involve collaboration between the industry and academia by forming precompetitive associations and visiting faculty for research in emerging technologies.
“This MoU bridges academia and industry, opening new doors for research, skill development, and innovation. Together, we look forward to providing ample opportunities to our students so that they are all set to succeed in the future with the emergence of pharma, healthcare, and engineering,” said Professor Ramgopal Rao, Vice Chancellor of BITS Pilani.
